Inter To Debut New Giuseppe Meazza Surface

Having a semi synthetic pitch isn’t ideal by any means but something needed to be done about the state of the Meazza pitch, so until the day we actually get our own stadium this is the only realistic option to avoid having to relay the playing surface several times per season.

Inter will be inaugurating the new surface of the San Siro.  Inter and Milan have been assured that the work on this new surface (mixed with natural and artificial grass) will be completed by the end of July.  So the team of Andrea Stramaccioni will play on it in the qualifying round of the Europa League.  The two games that Inter are going to participate in will be on the 2nd and the 9th of August.

  1. I think the milanese are big enough to both get their own stadiums, if they were smart they would tie their stadium deals together. Two seperate stadiums but they could be right next to each other thus symbolizing the rivalry and also making the effect on the city scape more focused.

    • I love that idea mate, having the stadiums next to each other would really emphasise the rivalry & if they used the same architect they could make a real statement on the Milanese skyline 🙂

      • good idea:) using the same architect
it would better than the allianz arena idea maybe an art blog asking interista what could they imagine the two milanese stadiums side by side to look like
