Europa League: Inter Grind Out 1-0 Win Against Partizan

An 89th-minute header by Rodrigo Palacio gave Inter all three points in their 2012/13 UEFA Europa League Matchday 3 clash with Partizan Belgrade. The Argentine striker came off the bench on the half-hour mark to replace Coutinho, a real handful for the Serbians before being forced off injured. Lazar Markovic struck the post on 21 minutes and was denied by a fantastic save from Handanovic, which led to El Trenza scoring from the resulting counter-attack less than a minute later.

The win takes the Nerazzurri up to 7 points in Group H alongside Rubin Kazan, while Neftchi and Partizan Belgrade remain on 1 point. (via inter.it)

  1. happy for Palacio, he needed this
on a side note, if berlusconi is going tojail for tax evasion, what does that mean for the stadium relationship between Inter and Milan?

    • I’m not sure mate, with the city of Milano owning the Meazza I doubt this with Berlusconi will have any effect on Inter. Though I think it could make Milan’s bad season even worse, as the unpaid tax will have to be paid from somewhere and as the Club is his property I reckon that makes them liable. I could be wrong but that seems pretty likely to me.

      • This is the best time for Inter to get thier own stadium, Milan is weak in the front office and on the pitch. The city would welcome a project to get jobs going.
